"Prague is like Disney World for adults."

That's the line I kept coming back to after this trip. Instead of just telling you why, I'm going to show you — through the exact ratings I gave every part of the experience, and what's actually behind each score.

Food: High Score, One Dish Stole the Show

Prague's food scene landed near the top of my ratings, and it wasn't close. There's one specific dish — a massive, slow-braised classic — that I'm calling the best single thing I ate on the entire trip. If you only try one thing here, it's this.

Transportation: Also Near Perfect — But Not for the Reason You'd Think

I rated getting around Prague highly, but not because of trains, trams, or rideshares. There's a specific way of moving through the city that I ended up relying on more than any app or ticket — and it's the reason I discovered half the places that made this trip memorable.

Friendliness: The One Category That Didn't Blow Me Away

This was the lowest score on my whole card. Not bad, just not exceptional — and there's a specific cultural pattern behind it that's worth knowing before you go, so it doesn't catch you off guard the way it caught me.

Value: Also Lower Than Expected — Here's Why

Prague isn't the budget destination it has a reputation for being. There's a specific number — my actual estimated cost range per day — that surprised me, especially once I compared meals, hotels, and attraction prices against what I expected walking in.

Safety: A Perfect Score

No surprises here — Prague earned full marks. Still, there's one specific type of area worth extra awareness in, especially after dark, even in a city this safe.

Would I Return? A Near-Perfect Score

This is the category that says the most. I rated this trip almost a perfect return score, and there's a very specific reason: I didn't come close to seeing everything, even after several days. There's a particular mistake almost every first-time visitor makes with how many days they book — and it's the single biggest thing I'd change if I went back.

The Overall Picture

Add it all up, and Prague came out as one of the highest-rated destinations I've reviewed. The lowest scores weren't about the city failing to deliver — they were about expectations that needed adjusting. Once I did that, almost everything else clicked into place.

I put everything — my complete day-by-day breakdown, the exact dish and hidden gems behind these ratings, a full packing list, budget check, common mistakes to avoid, and my entire honest rating card — into one printable guide.

It's the exact resource I wish I had before I booked my flight to Prague.

Walk more. See more. Experience more.
